                     MAGIC

               Like stars
               In the Heavens
               Or the smile
               In your eyes,
               I find
               So much pleasure.

               Like a dream
               Realized,
               I find
               A magic wonder,
               And there in no
               compromise.

                THE EIGHT

When Saturn wheels its mighty wing
and brings them aligned with Mars

When out on a cold autumn night
and all is deathly still beneath the stars

          When the deepest waning moon
          reaches its zenith of destruction

When hooded figures gather in forest
there can only be one deduction.

                STREET HEROS

          I am a warrior
I serve the forces of light
          Losers or Conquerors
None are safe from my flight

          Death is my weapon
          Vengeance is mine alone
No one will hear you cry
No one will hear you moan

The time is for you to guess
When I strike none will know
Waxing moon can not hold me
          From delivering the final blow

Fate is sealed away from you
The key is among the stars
The dagger that will set you free
Is in the hour ruled by Mars.

                    ZADIA

Come with me and we will sail
          away to a distant land.

We can set our course to the mystical
land of Dariabar or perhaps the lush
island of Zadian will capture your heart.

All is to be found in the world of Noreal,
a land of wondrous magic and timeless beauty.

So climb aboard my bed and let the sails unfold,
Let us climb to the starry heavens above,
and gather up all the dreamy diamonds we can.

ON THE WINGS OF A BREATH

Cold and haunting 'tis this moonless night,
All is still save an errie howl of fright.

Bold is our steps with treasures in hand,
The call of spirits sing out over the land.

Old headstones turn upon misty ground,
Tall crypt gates swing with a creepy sound.

A horned one waits and beckons all to come,
A winged one's vigil will never be done.

A ritual is begun slowly with a dance,
A spot is chosen while in a trance.

Damp virgin earth turns up with ease,
As the giant horned one waits among the trees.

Carefully the digging begins, a four by six hole,
Above death is poised to claim it's rightful toll.

A quick and silent descent is made,
A sudden shriek as life begins to fade.

What illusions of darkness did you begin to behold,
What delightful horror did you expect to unfold?

For 'tis but a morsel for the owl's empty plate,
And proud is she gliding back to her mate.

You see, the winged and horned one were but one,
The tale you beheld was of dark works to be done.

This tale which I tell with so much delight,
Is merely a tale of nature and her mystery of night.

                 LOST TREASURES

You possess love yet you do not see,
You have felt love yet you do nothing to keep it full.

I've tasted your love and find it bitter,
          Elusive as a midnight's breeze,
Waxing and waning like the water's tide.

Search on for for your hearts desire,
For such a journey never ends.

Know well that love from the heart is deceiving,
For the Gods made love a state of mind.

          Chose your love carefully
For some are horrid and some are kind.

                TERROR IN THE NIGHT

          A man dress in night,
On a black horse he flies.

          Out of the forest,
          Under cold moonless skies.

          Cold hearted Lady,
          In her bed she lies.

          Darkness of night brings terror,
          She screams and cries.

          Dagger at her throat,
          Eyes hooded by his coat.

          She sees not the evil,
          that breaths so near.

          She sees not a dream,
          She screams in fear.

          The man dressed in night,
          Over stones does he lite.

          Slowly entering the darkened room,
          Sword drawn for a fight.

          One swift turn,
          And blade severs bone.

          One swift turn,
          The dark one stands alone.

          Cold hard steel,
by its length it shall kill.

          Fire now put to death,
          Gone is the thrill.

          Warm blood spills,
Upon the floor in the aftermath.

Upon the ground, the man dressed in night,
Lies in a red satin bath.

               IF ALL WERE SO

          If tears were diamonds,
Then a rich man would I be.

If love were a chain that bonds,
Then you would be with me.

If heart aches were measured in pounds,
Then a ton would I have now.

And, if wishes could come true,
I would make real some how.

               COMMUNICATIONS

          Written Words are such
          That I can communicate
          so well.

          Verbal words are such
          That I loose track of
          What I say and tell.

          Poems allow a creative
          Flow of passion and
          Gentle prose.

          Text allows clear and
          Concise thoughts
          Carefully chose.

          Thus I learn patience
          Saves me from much
          Wiry confusion

          Thus I learn that I
          Can be accountable
          Through written extrusion

               PLEASANT DISTRACTION

Here I sit trying to concentrate,
And there you sit so very far away.

I'd ask you out but it's too late,
For just one glance melts my heart away.

Here I sit thinking only of you,
Wishing I could tell you how I feel.

Tell me now just what you would do,
If I could tell you my love was real.

I'll watch you for so long,
Hoping, perchance, to gaze into your eyes.

My feelings are so strong, can't be wrong,
So much love you will never realize.
